Young Enterprise Centres of Excellence Award Ceremony

Throughout the UK Young Enterprise works with 1,000’s of schools and colleges with young people from 5- 19 years old.
However there are a special number of these schools who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the promotion of enterprise and entrepreneurship education for their young people and engage in a wide variety of activities. These schools have worked very hard at providing enterprise experiences to their young people across year groups to develop their employability and entrepreneurship skills.
They have developed active partnerships with Young Enterprise over a consistent number of years, providing staff resources and curriculum space so that as many of their pupils can benefit as possible. They have been active ambassadors for our work often hosting events and providing other in-kind resources to local Young Enterprise volunteer management boards who help run YE progammes in local areas.
These Centres of Excellence have embraced the business adviser support which comes as a part of all YE programme delivery, welcoming these positive role models as a bridge between school and the world of work.
Young Enterprise places great value on these partnerships and has initiated this new awards scheme to do more to help showcase these schools and present them as exemplars to other schools.
As a business led organisation supported by the private sector we will highlight these Centres of Excellence to our business community as places were the students have been encouraged to be very well prepared for work and could be potentially excellent places to recruit their future employees.
To mark the school’s commitment we will be presenting them with a special plaque at this prestigious event. Ongoing recognition will come in the form of an annually produced special logo which can be used on school communications.
