North East Company Programme Finalists 2018
A team of students from Whitburn Church of England Academy in South Tyneside won the 2018 regional title for Best Student Company in the North East. The regional final celebrated the young people who set up and ran student companies over an academic year as part of the HSBC supported Young Enterprise Company Programme.
The team then went on to represent the North East at the UK Company of the Year final
The regional winning team, ‘Heavenly Handmade’ created a business from scratch selling handmade products sourced locally with an ethos of using recycled materials from ethical companies.
