Adam Afriyie hosted Young Enterprise “Unleash the Potential” event at Houses of Parliament on Thursday 24 October.
The multi-millionaire MP, who grew up in deprived Peckham, London, attributes at least some of his success to taking part in a Young Enterprise programme as a teenager.
Why did we get together? Well, research shows German employers expect more of their young recruits than do UK business leaders. Polls show students leaving education overwhelmingly lack key “employability” skills they need to land that crucial first job.
