Year 8s jet fearlessly into the Dragons’ Den
AIRLINE COMPANY CREATED BY STUDENTS AT NOTRE DAME CATHOLIC COLLEGE, EVERTON VALLEY, LIVERPOOL
Year 8 students became Entrepreneurs for a day last week when they participated in an airline Masterclass delivered by Young Enterprise.
Working in teams they had to set up their own airline company. This involved deciding which international destination to fly to, what type of plane to use as well as a name for their Airline.
They used brilliant creative skills when designing a logo for the tail of the plan and when designing their Cabin Crew’s Uniform.
After lunch teams prepared and delivered presentations where a team member modelled the uniform.
This was followed by a ‘catwalk’ style show when the models in their colourful, crepe paper uniforms, walked down the centre of Notre Dame Hall to rapturous applause and to the music of One Direction.
All students had the opportunity to develop skills and experience in teamwork, money management, negotiation, design & creativity, presentations, innovation amongst others.
“The year 8 students at Notre Dame have been one of the best groups I have worked with their co-operation and creativity.
The school must be doing something right, as the confidence levels for year 8 students are higher than in most other schools I have worked in” Read full story
