Liverpool John Moores triumphs in the North West Santander Young Enterprise Start-Up
STUDENTS from Liverpool John Moores University triumphed in the North West heats of the Santander- backed Young Enterprise Start-Up competition to reach the national finals in London in May.
The Teabox Company will go up against 10 student companies from across the UK who have also set up their own business for a year with the help of business mentors.
The LJMU team impressed judges with their online tea company offering a range of the world’s finest brews that can be mailed directly to customers. The venture supplies six bars and restaurants.
Young Enterprise manager for Merseyside, Andy Firr, said: “I know The Teabox Company will be great ambassadors for the North West.”
LJMU vice chancellor Prof Nigel Weatherill said: “All this work is part of building confidence and skills for future careers.”
