Enterprising Croydon teens trade school for business
Magicians’ props, colourful watches and teddy bears were among the creations being sold by budding entrepreneurs at Centrale shopping centre on Saturday.
Teenagers proved their business credentials by selling their wares to passing shoppers as part of the Young Enterprise Trade Fair.
Pupils from 12 schools including Croydon High, Whitgift and Old Palace were among those taking part took to improve their marketing and sales skills.
They set up enterprises in September last year and have been developing business ideas including student cookery apps and hand-made bags ever since. Read full story
