Made in Chelsea’s Francis Boulle backs Young Enterprise

Diamond trader and financier makes inspirational speech to 800 at Titanic Belfast

Mending broken surfboards and selling them on to tourists gave the star of Channel 4’s Made in Chelsea Francis Boulle his start in business.

The heart-throb revealed the beachside enterprise as he addressed more than 800 students at a Gala Celebration to mark the success of all the Young Enterprise companies formed and traded over the 2012-2013 academic year at Belfast’s newest tourist attraction, Titanic Belfast.

He said: “My first business, I was about 11 or 12, and it was repairing broken surfboards and selling the on to tourists. I think it is absolutely integral to have a foundation of understanding key business concepts moving forward, not just for the workplace but for creating your own job, creating your own company and potential legacy.

“It is self evident that the children are the future and we should be investing in them as we should be investing in the small and medium sized enterprises out there today.”

He added: ” I am Francis Boulle founder and CEO of fund mine .com and I support Young Enterprise Northern Ireland.”
