Youngsters are in good company at Derbyshire final
PUPILS from three schools are on their way to the county final of this year’s Young Enterprise competition.
A team from Long Eaton School set up a company called Funting and was the overall winner of the South and East Derbyshire area final.
The runners-up – Hyperion from Friesland School, Sandiacre and On-iki, of Derby High School – will join them in the final on May 2 at the Carriage Shed Theatre at Derby College’s Roundhouse campus in Pride Park.
More than 150 pupils, aged 14 to 18, from across South and East Derbyshire took part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme this year and set up a total of 11 companies with the help from local business volunteers.
