Students shine in enterprise contest
A business which makes jewellery from recycled paper has been named this year’s winner of the annual Young Enterprise competition in Leicestershire.
Youngsters from Sir Jonathan North Community College, in West Knighton, Leicester, made the jewellery from discarded wrapping paper and newspapers.
The group formed a company called Ignite, which sold almost £400 worth of products to school friends and the public.
They beat five other companies from five county schools to be named Leicestershire Company of the Year at a ceremony at the Holiday Inn, Leicester, on Monday.
