Whirl of activity for children’s air ambulance
FUNDRAISING has taken off at an Abingdon school where pupils have donated items they made to a new children’s air ambulance service.
Year 12 students from Larkmead School’s young enterprise group “Hendeka” have donated their stock to The Children’s Air Ambulance charity to sell in its shops.
The goods were left over from the area finals of an enterprise competition.
Student Harry Gable, 17, said: “It’s a brilliant charity that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves”.
Jordan Sanders, also 17, added: “It’s good to see where our excess stock is going.”
Air ambulance fundraising manager Nicole Rolfe said: “We are extremely grateful to the young enterprise group at Larkmead for generously donating bracelets, candles and flowerpots.
