Success for Jersey at Young Enterprise Regional Final
Following its success in winning the Channel Islands place in the South East Regional Final, the winning Jersey company, Venture, has today won the Best Company Presentation at the Young Enterprise Regional Final which was held at Royal Holloway, Egham Hill, Egham.
The Judges noted that it was a great achievement for students from different schools to come together and deliver so cohesively and professionally. It should be noted that Jersey and Guernsey are the only branches in the British Isles where the Young Enterprise Achievers mix from different schools and the Company Programme is Adviser-led; in the UK, the Company Programme is school-led.
In total, seven representatives from Jersey travelled to the UK, including five Young Achievers from Venture, between them representing Victoria College, JCG, Beaulieu and Hautlieu, together with Adviser, Andy Newlands of HSBC, and Nathalie Le Barz, Head of HR at BNP Paribas and member of the YE Jersey Area Board.
Other news announced today is that Beverley Le Cuirot, Chairman of Young Enterprise Jersey was awarded a Gold Award, for outstanding contribution as a Volunteer of Young Enterprise.
