Earl visits entrepeneurs
The Earl of Wessex helped to celebrate Young Enterprise’s 50th anniversary at Loseley House recently.
The Earl joined 80 other guests, including Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Surrey and owner of Loseley House Michael More-Molyneux, and this year’s winning Company Programme teams in the Great Hall for the event.
Young Enterprise was founded in the 1962-3 academic year by merchant banker Sir Walter Salomon.
The event was hosted by his daughter, Carolyn Townsend. Since it was founded, 3.8 million young people have taken part in Young Enterprise programmes in the UK. One million of these have taken part in the Company Programme.
