‘Dedicated’ pupil wins competition
Business-minded teenager Koron Cooper has won a ‘young enterprise company programme’ for his school.
Bedford Academy student Koron, 17, recently the programme for the school, as winner of the Young Enterprise Commonwealth Day Observance competition.
Young Enterprise, the largest business and enterprise education charity in the UK, seeks to help students learn about business and the world of work in the classroom.
Four Bedford Academy students went to the prestigious Commonwealth Day Observance event, which was also attended by the Duke of Edinburgh, Sir Richard Branson, Beverly Knight and band the Noisettes.
Koron’s winning entry involved completing several enterprise challenges.
The programme Koron won for all students at Bedford Academy involves stpupils setting up and running their own company, experiencing at first hand the many challenges of running a business and developing a variety of work place skills.
