Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Members Urged To Become Young Enterprise Business Advisers
Chamber members are being urged to support Young Enterprise – the UK’s largest business and enterprise education charity, which has students from more than 5,500 schools, colleges and universities participating in its programmes.
Its flagship Company Programme has been working with students in UK schools for more than 40 years and in the paqst year, more than 440 students from Derbyshire took part.
They signed up for the ultimate enterprise experience and set up and ran their own real businesses for a year. Some of them made a considerable profit, but all of them would say that it was the skills that they developed along the way that were the most valuable.
Each team has a business mentor from a local business who advises the group and is an integral part of their experience – this is where DNCC members can help.
