Young Enterprise-supporting IT services provider Adapt expands in Cardiff
IT services provider Adapt has grown its operations in Cardiff by 44% and taken on around 50 additional staff following an acquisition in 2012.
Adapt bought Cardiff-based eLINIA last year gaining 60 technical experts.
Adapt was awarded almost £1m by the Welsh Government to create jobs and further develop its centre of excellence at St Mellons.
The business now employs 200 staff overall and estimates 80% of staff taken on this year will be based at the centre, which has grown from 11,000 to 18,000 sq ft in size.
Adapt works in partnership with Cardiff’s Metropolitan University gives Adapt the opportunity to provide annual prizes for exceptional students, guest lectures from the senior team and student placements within its technical operational centre.
The organisation has also invested in the Young Enterprise Scheme which helps to prepare local students for their working lives and inspiring them to over-achieve by providing real business role models and case studies.
