Huge congratulations to Colston’s Girls School, Team Connected, who were our winners this year. A social enterprise company they produced Jigsaw Coasters which connect together, symbolizing how they wish to help homeless people reconnect with society. In second place was Ignite from St Bedes Catholic School who designed individual henna candles, followed by Aquila in third place from Brimsham Green School.

Connected now go onto the SW Regional Final, which takes place on 14 June, to compete for a place in the UK final in July.

Chair of Young Enterprise (West of England), Rob Carter, said; “It never ceases to amaze me how brilliant and capable students are when they are given the opportunity to express themselves and do things they never thought possible. The atmosphere on the day was electric and was a fitting finale to a year that has seen Young Enterprise help even more students equip themselves for the world of work.  It was an event that reassures us all of a positive future ahead.”

Thanks also go to the business community to all judges, sponsors and supporters who help make these events such great occasions for all involved.

Midas Group, Bath Business School, WPA, Dancourt, Hayes Parsons, Sandler Training, JBP, Federation of Small Business, UWE, Pieminister and last but not least, Norman Routledge for offering us his home Kingsweston House for our Area Final each year.

We look forward to the SW Regional Final hosted by Renishaw on 14 June 2017. This event brings together the SW Regional winning teams from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and West of England to find the one team to go forward to the UK Final on 4 and 5 July.

There is an open invitation for the event where we can guarantee a really good competition and chance to network. If you would like to attend please email Area Manager, Julie Pond on by Friday 1st June.
