Bristol students Learn to Earn
Five volunteers from South West accountancy firm Bishop Fleming are taking part tomorrow in the Young Enterprise ‘Learn to Earn’ programme, in which they will be supporting young people from Henbury School with careers guidance and skills.
The Learn to Earn programme provides students with information about careers to help them make informed decisions and inspire them for life beyond education.
Through hands-on fun, games and practical activities, Learn to Earn explores themes such as personal skills and talents, recruitment and job interviews, career choices, salaries, earnings, tax, the cost of living, financial planning and budgeting.
Jo Hill, a tax executive at Bishop Fleming who sits on the Young Enterprise board for the West of England said ‘we are delighted to support students at Henbury School, and the Learn to Earn programme is a great initiative that allows students to take ownership of their life choices and understand more about the different qualifications that they need for different kinds of careers. Understanding the wide range of career options that is available to them means that students will be empowered to make the right choices about their future career paths.’
