Big Lottery Fund x Young Enterprise Project
Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund, Young Enterprise worked with 13,000 young people from 10 areas of high deprivation across England. All of these students took part in a variety of Young Enterprise’s business themed activities, with support from volunteers from local industry, to help them grow up with the skills and confidence to earn and manage money.
We worked with 48 schools and had the support of 350 volunteers. We analysed the impact of the programme and found the programme improved young disadvantaged people’s perceptions about their employability skills, self-esteem and ultimately have a positive impact on their intended destinations regardless of the challenging circumstances from which they might start their journey.
