Business savvy students compete in Young Enterprise Awards
Two teams from Liverpool Hope’s Young Enterprise programme took part in the Young Enterprise Start Up Competition’s Regional Finals on Wednesday 20th February 2013.
The students have worked to set up their own businesses and this awards event was the culmination of their hard work. Through the Young Enterprise Programme they have been supported by Hope Business Gateway who organised for a range of speakers and mentors to assist them in developing their business idea and perfect their presentation skills.
One of the companies, The Second Home, creates welcome packs for international students arriving in the UK for study. This team was made up of five students from Liverpool Hope, including four of our own international students. The 5 business partners are: Prakash Lalwani, Kirandeep Mahey, Yingying Liu, Genchao Liu and Saphal Adhikari.
The second team from Liverpool Hope was DC Gadgets, made up of James Laird and Onyinye Nancy Chukwuka, who have invented a new and innovative pasta stirrer.
