Teacher Francis McVeigh found that Young Enterprise helped his students to become more articulate, organised and creative. The shy and reserved members of his classes discover that their views and aptitudes are as impressive as anyone else’s and they quickly gain the respect of their peers. The result is they gain confidence, understanding and a greater ability to apply theoretical knowledge.

What personal/attitudinal development, if any, have your students received as a result of taking part in Company Programme?
The students have developed a more resilient approach to life situations.

What career/educational benefits, if any, have your students received from Company Programme?
The students have developed many key skills, such as communication, organisation, innovation and enterprise – just to name a few!

Have you witnessed any key success stories amongst your students as a result?
A number of quieter students have ‘come out of themselves’, and become much more confident within the classroom setting. The programme has also improved students’ understanding of business concepts for AS Level studies.

Would you recommend Young Enterprise Programmes to your colleagues in the teaching profession?
Most definitely.

This year has been our first time doing Company Programme – it has been a fantastic experience for students and school.
