Students from St Thomas More and Sidney Stringer will be representing the region at the Young Enterprise county finals at Coventry University tomorrow.

The Young Enterprise Company Programme sees students set up a business in school over the course of a year, under the guidance of a volunteer business adviser.

The winning teams beat off strong competition from King Henry VIII, Stoke Park, Ash Green School, Finham Park, Blue Coat C of E and Hereward College.

All schools had to present an initial report, host a trade stand and then give a final presentation on their ventures. The Clever Company, from St Thomas More, won with a children’s cook book that had an educational twist. Judges praised the team for their attention to detal and plans to continue the project after the competition.
