Former Westfield School pupil inspires entrepreneurs of the future
A YOUNG entrepreneur has teamed up with sixth-form students to help them with business ideas for a national enterprise contest.
Former pupil of Westfield School in Gosforth, Emma Gillespie, now runs her own online gift company The Orangery House, as well as completing an apprenticeship with the Entrepreneurs’ Forum.
Since September Gillespie has worked with 23 girls at her old school as an adviser to their developing business Dip It.
The firm is producing tie-dyed and dip-dyed fashion products for the Young Enterprise challenge.
Gillespie completed her NVQ level two in business administration while working at the Entrepreneurs’ Forum.
Sarah Bunn, 18, of Ovington, said: “It’s been really good to have Emma’s experience.
She’s been through the competition before so she knows what the judges are looking for.’’ Read full story
