MP backs Young Enterprise project at Houses of Parliament
THE Houses of Parliament was the venue for the launch of a project aiming to ensure more young people leave school with the right skills for employment.
Windsor MP Adam Afriyie hosted an evening at the Terrace Pavilion in Parliament for the Young Enterprise charity to launch its Unleash Potential scheme on Thursday, October 24.
The project aims to highlight concerns about students leaving education and lacking the key skills they need to land their first job.
Mr Afriyie said: “Having come to politics from a business background, I know that charities such as Young Enterprise are tremendously important to the lifeblood of the UK economy.
“They help equip young people with the key skills they need later in life to set up businesses and watch them grow. I would encourage all schools and colleges to get involved in such important schemes as Young Enterprise.”
