Ross High School’s Connected team commended in UK Deutsche Bank final
ROSS High’s young enterprise team Connected were commended for their entrepreneurial acumen and business skills at the UK-wide Deutsche Bank Young Entrepreneurs Programme National Final 2013 in London last month.
Four pupils – Kamran Chaudhry, Fiona Matheson, Katie Belton and Ailie McLeod – made the trip to the event after being named best overall company for enterprise at the Edinburgh & Lothians Young Enterprise Scotland Board awards in March.
The Connected team, which is made up of 18 S6 pupils at the school, produced an East Lothian discount voucher booklet, with offers on everything from dog walking to hairdressers in the county.
The group made a profit of more than £500 to help take them to the UK final, where they were up against four other student companies – from London Birmingham, Glasgow and Liverpool.
