RS Components helps Corby’s young entrepreneurs

Pupils who took part in the Young Enterprise programme had a helping hand from Corby firm RS Components.

Students from Corby Business Academy, Brooke Weston Academy and Lodge Park Academy, in the town, joined nine other enterprise companies from schools on Northamptonshire in the first round of the competition in March.

Kraftees’, made up of Year 12 students from Corby Business Academy won the best company and best financial management titles with their USB wristband.

Sasindo from Brooke Weston Academy were best company runners-up with their candle business and two companies from Lodge Park Academy, Affinity and Enpresa, were joint winners of the Forward Together shield.

Kraftees and Sasindo qualified for the county final which was held in April.

Robin Neighbour, Young Enterprise development manager, said: “It was good to see two local companies from schools in Corby competing to be the best company in Northamptonshire.”
