Slideshow: Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Young Enterprise Final
Seventy-two teams involving 966 students from 46 schools across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes were whittled down to one winner to represent the patch at the next stage of the Young Enterprise business competition.
A team called Future Booster, representing Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School, in Aylesbury, pipped Sterling, from The Beaconsfield School, to the top prize, presented by David Rixon of Giles Foods, in Milton Keynes.
Future Booster researched real-life job experiences for a book to help young people look into careers appealing to them.
Judges from a range of sponsor companies grilled the eight teams and their mentors on their business plans, company reports, innovation and use of IT before the presentation of awards at the Berrill Theatre, at the Open University, on Friday.
