South Staffs schools do the business in night to remember
BUDDING Alan Sugars from across the area were praised this week at the Southern Staffordshire Young Enterprise Awards Evening.
The event saw teams from competing schools including King Edward VI School, The Friary School and Nether Stowe School present their businesses before an audience at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre on Tuesday evening.
It marked the culmination of months of hard work which have seen the students develop and market a product or service, promote at trade fairs, produce a company report and deal with business issues such as cash flow, human resources, IT, communication and dealing with suppliers.
The event was hosted by journalist and presenter Joanne Malin and the judging panel consisted of Sue Arnold, Mike Castree, Peter Farmer, Simon Price and George Felles.
