Virgin website: Young Enterprise winners named
The winners of the annual Young Enterprise competition have been revealed this week, with an innovative silicon speaker product seeing team Prime – from Tiffin Girls School – scoop the top prize.
The 100% silicon speaker known as the Gramaphone, which was developed by the young students from Kingston, London, can be attached to an iPhone, iPad or iPod to increase volume without the use of electricity.
Each year Young Enterprise, which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary, looks to help 225,000 young people learn about business through the guidance of 5,000 volunteers and the help of 3,500 companies. As the UK’s largest business and enterprise education charity, they also hold an annual competition to unearth the country’s best young business minds.
