Young Enterprise takes over Croydon

Young Enterprise takes over Croydon, for a day!

More than 30 companies taking part in the Young Enterprise company based programmes set up their stands to sell to Saturday shoppers on the 16th February in Croydon.

Rob Campbell of Croydon Town Centre BID estimated footfall of more than 100,000 and told the organisers how impressed he was with the standard of the companies and how the event had breathed life into the space outside the old Allders store in North End.

Student companies from across South London (from Hampton to Orpington and including representative Start Up companies from Kingston University) reported brisk sales and were judged on their stands by business luminaries from the retail world.

Sophie Anderson the Managing Director of ‘UVE Been Painted’ from Hollyfield School in Surbiton, whose company won the Best sales Team Award, said “I am so proud of the team, they have worked tremendously hard and we are REALLY enjoying the Young Enterprise experience!

We have all learnt so much from recent events (especially our mistakes!) and have loved every minute of it.”
