Young Wimbledon businessmen battle way to finals of prestigious enterprise competition
Budding young businessmen of Wimbledon’s King’s College School battled their way to the South London finals of The Young Enterprise Awards last month.
Cover Initiative, a group of Year 10 boys, came second to Sutton Grammar School in the Sutton and Merton finals with their scribble case – an iPhone cover you can draw on.
The team of eight beat six opponents and will now compete against other South London Schools at Croydon’s Trinity School on May 10.
Economics and Social Sciences Teacher at KCS, Shelley Gosher, said: “It’s the first time we have had a team get this far so it’s very exciting.
“It’s especially good for the boys as they are only in Year 10 and most of the other competitors are in Year 12.”
Both schools will battle with six other South London teams where they will give four minute presentations to an audience of 200 after being interviewed by a panel of judges.
