LifeSkills financial literacy resources for primary schools cover topics such as budgeting, saving money, safe and sensible spending, and needs and wants, with the opportunity for pupils to put their financial literacy skills into practice with tasks and activities that can be completed as a group, or independently. The activities in each lesson have been carefully crafted with cross-curricular links including Maths, English and PSHE. They also include the development of core transferable skills which help pupils as they continue with their education and move towards employment, such as creativity and problem solving.

The resources for ages 11 and older are designed to help teachers introduce students to financial capability skills and prepare them for life beyond education. Topics include dealing with financial dilemmas, learning to budget and save, and avoiding online scams and fraud. The lessons consist of engaging activities, tools and films to help students develop financial resilience, and are curriculum-linked across all UK nations. Short and independent learning activities for students aged 14+ that have been adapted for independent learning are also available, ideal for setting as homework or further learning.

LifeSkills is excited to be expanding its offering for primary schools with new careers-related lesson plans and activities. The new resources introduce pupils aged 7-11 to the core transferable skills essential across all industries, and encourages exploration of different roles and sectors through film case studies and engaging activities.
