In a rapidly changing world, young people urgently need support to make informed choices about their futures. Learn to Earn helps young people explore future opportunities, their own skills and what employers are looking for and value in the workplace.

At a glance

  • Suitable for Key stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Full or part day delivery options with fully trained and safeguarded staff members
  • Student take away referenceable fact sheets and a Jobs Sector Directory listing full details of employment opportunities  sectors, including common entry requirements and expected income
  • It provides opportunities for live employee engagement, either face-to-face or via video link

In a rapidly changing world, young people need support to make informed choices about future careers more than ever. Learn to Earn motivates students by encouraging them to consider financial plans for the future, set goals and think about their future study options. Through a range of scenarios, tasks and activities, the day provides students with knowledge of the skills necessary to make successful transitions to the next stage of their life.

Learn to Earn can contribute to Gatsby Benchmark 6 by providing students with employer-led, structured experiences that help build workplace skills, build knowledge and confidence to succeed in the workplace, and offer insights into the world of work.

  • Calculate and balance realistic cost of living budgets
