Our Work With Government
Unlock the potential of every young person.
Working with government, MPs, civil servants and wider industry, we aim to make sure that every young person is given the opportunity to build the skills, confidence, and mindset to thrive in work and life.
Financial Education
We are long-term campaigners for improved financial education in schools, as well as the Secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Financial Education for Young People, we are proud members of the Youth Financial Capability Group and we organise the Financial Education Forum.
Enterprise Education
We are the leading voice championing enterprise education for all young people and support for young entrepreneurs, particularly for those facing barriers to social mobility.
Work-readiness
We campaign for the education system to embed essential skills, experiences of work and employer interaction opportunities at all ages and stages, so young people are better prepared for the future world of work.
Social Mobility
We champion and prioritise social mobility across all our work. We work with young people facing barriers to opportunity, and our Transforming Futures Strategy seeks to make measurable contributions to young people’s social mobility by 2030.
Breaking down barriers. Building brighter futures.
Last year we worked with 482,000+ young people, helping them to develop key employability and financial capability skills. Currently we work with 46% of secondary schools in the UK, including 57% of those in the 30% most deprived areas.
Our programmes have a tangible impact on the jobs market: within two years, 95% of Company Programme alumni are in Education, Employment or training, 7% higher than the national average.
Our advocacy work includes:
- Meeting with ministers and MPs to outline the impact of Young Enterprise on young people
- Providing secretariat for the all-party parliamentary group on financial education for young people
- Providing evidence to select committees and other parliamentary inquiries
- Showcasing the impact of our work to politicians in schools in their constituencies
