London Institute of Banking and Finance

The London Institute of Banking & Finance offers award-winning, flexible and affordable online financial education programmes and Level 1-3 qualifications (including a brand new vocational Level 2, approved for KS4 2024 performance tables), to set students up for whatever the future holds.

Since launching our qualifications and programmes in centres across the UK, we’ve supported over 500,000 young people to improve their financial confidence through dedicated financial education.

Our latest work:

???? The Young Persons’ Money Index (YPMI)

According to our independent research report, the Young Persons’ Money Index – which looks at the attitudes, behaviours and experiences of UK students in relation to money and personal finance – 72% of young people want to learn more about money in school.

???? New vocational Level 2 Technical in Certificate in Finance

Level 2 Technical Certificate in Finance (TCF) has been designed to provide students with a detailed introduction into the world of finance whilst empowering them to manage their personal finances through learning about financial services and products. It also helps them build the skills required for a successful career. Teachers are supported with extensive teaching resources, and free textbooks for all learners. ???? Partnering with Principality Building Society (PBS) to support the next generation of financially confident young people

Principality Building Society recognise the pressing need for dedicated financial education for young people at school. They’ve donated £100,000 to fund centres across Wales to register students for any LIBF financial education qualification.

So far, 44 centres have been allocated funding. 12 of these are outreach centres – meaning the funding is reaching vulnerable young people who need it the most.

???? LIBF financial education podcast

LIBF Relationship Manager and podcast enthusiast, Scott Mowberry, is the host. He chats with key figures in the financial education space, including CEO of National Careers Week, Nick Newman and Instagram star The Money Mum.
