We believe that hands-on work experience is an integral part of career growth and development. In our work experience hub you’ll find opportunities that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.
Finding work experience can be really difficult. Thankfully, the people at ‘Speakers for Schools’ have worked with a large number of partners to provide ‘virtual work experience’. Search the website for placements that interest you, book yourself on and off you go. You can take part in as many as you like.
The placements are usually between 1 and 4 hours long and held on one day. Each organisation will run their work experience placement differently, but they usually consist of some information about the organisation, input from some of the people that work there and an idea of what the day to day work looks like in some of the roles they have.
So whether you’d be interested in a future career in the NHS, the Army or even as a Zookeeper there are work experience opportunities for you to join.
Work experience is a great way to build your skills and your CV and find out what you could enjoy doing in the world of work. PLUS – it helps you to explore the range of careers out there.
