The Money Charity

Helping everyone achieve financial wellbeing

Our Vision is that everyone achieves financial wellbeing by managing their money well. We empower people across the UK to build the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours, to make the most of their money throughout their lives; helping them achieve their goals and live a happier more positive life as a result.

We do this by developing and delivering products and services which provide education, information and advice on money matters for those in the workplace, in our communities, and in education. And through influencing and supporting others to promote financial capability and financial wellbeing, through consultancy, policy, research and media work.

Our work with young people:

Money Workshops

We deliver our Money Workshops across England and Wales to 11-19 year olds in a wide range of settings including schools, colleges, community groups, the justice system and via charities. We offer pick and mix modules covering all sorts of topics from budgeting to pensions and credit to reading a pay slip, and lots in between.

Student Money Manual

Our magazine style guide to everything you need to know about money whilst at uni is available online and in hard copy. We are offering them for free for a limited time, so order now!

Teacher Resource Packs

Our ‘lessons in a box’ contain all the resources and instructions a teacher needs to deliver a financial education lesson without having to do the prep themselves. Packs are available for free to schools, and include topics such as insurance, budgeting, saving, renting, mortgages and credit.

Consultancy services

As experts in delivering engaging and impactful financial education, we help all sorts of organisations develop content, resources and training to enable them to deliver financial education themselves. We work with large corporates, publishers, other charities, and many more to help them to ensure that their products and services are of a high quality.

Covid-19 update

With the huge impact of the pandemic on the economy and unemployment particularly affecting young people, we know that our work is needed now more than ever. We continue to offer face to face workshops and have also developed a suite of virtual workshops that can be delivered to a classroom of young people, or to young people whilst they are studying from home.

In response to these challenging times, The Money Charity has also launched Your Money & Covid, a series of three new virtual Financial Wellbeing Workshops for adults. They cover supporting finances through uncertainty, coping with redundancy, and building financial resilience and financial wellbeing.
