Money Ready is a charity dedicated to creating a financially fluent population. Soon to celebrate their 20th year of impact, the charity recently changed its name from MyBnk to Money Ready. This rebrand emphasises the organisation’s dedication to empowering people of all ages and circumstances to understand and manage their money.

Now active across all four nations of the UK, Money Ready’s expert trainers deliver engaging financial education programmes to over 52,000 people every year, bringing the language of finance to life so that everyone can navigate their money with confidence, no matter where they started.

Money Ready takes a holistic approach to education, using real life case studies, colourful resources, interactive exercises, videos and links to popular culture to bring money to life, whilst catering for different age groups, backgrounds and abilities. Their sessions challenge negative financial attitudes and build self-belief as well as develop crucial knowledge and skills.

  • Money Ready’s programmes
    • Money Ready’s tailored programmes provide learners at every stage – from primary school into adulthood – with the knowledge and skills they need to build positive money mindsets and habits that will last a lifetime. They work with over 500 delivery partners across the UK.
    • The charity’s primary programmes empower children aged 7-11 with essential money skills. Lively and engaging workshops help students set positive money mindsets and habits early on by understanding where money comes from, learning how to make smart spending choices, the importance of saving, and differentiating between needs and wants.
    • The charity’s secondary programmes equip students aged 11-18 with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their financial futures, from budgeting and saving to understanding credit and pensions. Through interactive, real-world workshops, students gain the confidence to make smart financial decisions.
    • Money Ready’s young adult programmes equip 16-37-year-olds with the practical financial knowledge they need to transition to adulthood, including budgeting, payslips, saving, credit management, tenancies and more. Participants gain the practical tools they need to manage their finances with confidence and independence.
    • Several Money Ready programmes also offer formal accreditations in Money Management. In 2023/24, 2,512 accreditations were achieved.

  • Money Ready’s programmes
    • Primary – 90% of primary school learners could now identify from a list of items which were needs (food, heating, electricity) and wants (TV, trips to the cinema, games console) after taking part in Money Ready programme.
    • Secondary – 66% of secondary learners said they will start a new savings habit after our programme.
    • Young adults – 94% of young adult learners said they will now keep a closer track of the money they make and spend as a result of our programme.
    • More than anything, it’s about having the knowledge and understanding to make informed decisions. If you don’t know the rules of the game, how can you take part?
