Yorkshire Building Society’s Money Minds financial education programme provides free lesson plans for teachers for 7–19-year-olds and online self-learning modules for students aged 11-19 to help teach the next generation about money and help them develop their employability skills.

Primary

Delivered in person by YBS colleagues, these lessons and are designed to help young people learn about money management, ranging from keeping money safe for ages 5-7 through to learning budgeting skills for children aged 8-11.

Secondary & Online

The Money Minds website offers lesson plans, games and videos to engage and educate 11-19 year-olds on money and career matters. The lesson plans can be downloaded from the website or delivered in person by YBS colleagues, alongside interactive self-guided learning.

The interactive content covers key financial education topics through to lessons on career development skills and is aligned to the PSHE National Curriculum and Gatsby Benchmarks.
