Money Heroes

Money Heroes seeks to transform financial education for primary aged children, aged 3 – 11, in school and at home.  Recognising that parents and teachers are key influencers in a child’s development, the programme has been designed to enable a collaborative, child-centred approach to teaching financial education, both at home and in the classroom.

We provide teachers and parents with a wide range of high-quality resources, tools and guidance, as well as the ability to track progression of children’s financial education through Money Heroes, to form the foundation of shared learning experiences.

Using the Money Heroes resources, we will ensure that children have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills across the core themes from our Primary Planning Framework.

To bring this essential learning to life, we will be introducing a full set of activities for home and school, as well as a set of hero assets that will support teaching and learning and enable both teachers and parents to engage with the children they support in fun and creative ways.

The resources will include:

  • bespoke Parent Guide about how to talk to children about money
  • a Money Heroes podcast series on money talks at home
  • storybooks for Key Stage 1 and 2, produced by an acclaimed children’s publisher
  • games for Key Stage 1 and 2, continuing the journey of characters from the books

Money Heroes is supported by HSBC UK.
