No Time Like The Future – The Time To Act Is Now

Access to opportunity is a precious commodity that can transform young people’s futures and the chance to develop vital skills should be available to all young people. If we are to address the disproportionately negative impact COVID 19 will have on a generation of young people then we must support them now to navigate successful pathways to opportunity.

The Challenge

The Challenge

To thrive in the future, young people must navigate unprecedented change, yet almost half (49%) of young people aged 17-23 believe their education has not prepared them for the world of work. To truly address this concerning situation, we need to make bold and systemic change to our current education system, providing greater emphasis on skills development through the curriculum.

Our Vision

Our Vision

The start of this new decade offers the opportunity to set out a bold new vision:

That every young person is provided with the opportunity to learn the vital skills needed to earn and look after their money, to develop an enterprising mindset & make a positive contribution to their communities and wider society.

“I know that inspiring young people is the key to unlocking their potential. The creation of ‘No Time Like The Future’ is a real opportunity to make sure this happens in a systematic way across the country.”

– Sharon Davies, CEO, Young Enterprise

No Time Like The Future is a strategy with 3 goals:

Increase Access to OpportunitiesDevelop & deliver enterprise and financial education programmes and services that help young people to build bright futures.

Boost Inclusion Make sure that no young person feels left behind or excluded from the conversation, and build a truly diverse movement that better reflects the communities we serve.

Activate Long-Term Sustainable ImpactWork closely with our alumni to understand first-hand the long-term impact of how enterprise and financial capability skills shape positive futures for young people.

By 2023, Young Enterprise will create a minimum of 1 million opportunities to help young people activate their untapped ambition. To do this, we need to mobilise 40,000 volunteers, teachers, and alumni across our network which will require an investment of 16 million pounds over the next three years. We need your help to:

  • Partner with more individuals, local and national businesses, foundations, and other strategic organisations
  • Engage volunteers and alumni from a diverse range of backgrounds to share their unique journeys
  • Empower more teachers to embed financial and enterprise education

With your support, we can continue to provide young people with access to opportunities and skills that can transform their lives. Find out more about getting involved below.
