Post 16: Financial Education for Further Education Teachers

Working with students age 16-19 and interested in financial education?

Sign up for our brand-new financial education teacher training.

Using the Raise app and additional resources you will be given the foundations from which to sustainably deliver financial education in your setting.

Raise is an online resource, developed through support from the Aviva Foundation, which is designed to take users on a virtual journey through their lives; exploring opportunities for savings and investments; assessing the factors that might influence these decisions and looking at the possible outcomes.

The course is split into parts 1 & 2.

In these, one-hour sessions, you will:

  • Discover the opportunities that Child Trust Funds provide for young people.
  • To share ideas of best practice and delivery for Raise resources

Part 1 covers financial literacy activities aligned to Raise content focusing on investing & value-driven choices.

Part 2 covers retirement planning & buying your first home.

Whilst the two sessions are designed to compliment each other and we would encourage people to take both Part 1 and Part 2, they also work as stand alone CPD courses so you can take just one or  you can attend both in any order you choose.

If you’re a Primary teacher please sign-up via the corresponding page.

You can also complete our FREE eLearning courses at any time.
